How we encode your video to DVD
In order to understand DVDarts applications and pricing, a broad understanding of DVD technology is helpful. DVDarts takes the following steps to create your DVD:
First we digitize the audio and video from VHS, S-VHS, Hi8, mini-DV
DVDarts encodes the video into MPEG-2 and sets the frame rate to match the rate of a DVD
Next we encode the audio into Dolby Digital or 48kHz PCM, depending the length of your video.
Then DVDarts brings the video and audio clips into the DVD-Video authoring program
We create the menus and link the menu buttons to your video clips
After that we create the required chapter points
Next the finished project is printed out to a DVD-R(W)
And finally DVDarts designs and prints the label and cover of your DVD
Simply put, the better your image looks when we start editing, the better it will look when it is compressed for digital delivery on DVD. About 1,5 hour of video can be stored on one DVD-RW.
